Internet. It is the first word which comes to mind during the evocation of NTIC (New Technologies of Information and of Communication). What Internet and which are the basic principles which govern this « broad worldwide cloth » (World Wide Web) ? Qu’est-ce qu’Internet et quels sont les principes fondamentaux qui régissent cette « large toile mondiale » (World Wide Web) ?
Internet, it is the planetary interconnection of the different computers and systems of information. This interconnection has the effect the pooling of information contained as well as channels of transmission which these last use. Any individual can then consult information contained on the whole network. Information, a communication between different posts, channels of transmissions, different sources of information, internal and external actors in the system C' is a new colossal system of information which was built under our eyes these last years. But a system of information has inevitably principles of functioning. The Internet is, since its democratisation, a system founded on anonymity ; and it, because the pioneers of the Internet tried to make of their support the accessible world by whoever without differentiations no. But in the breast of the system, it was necessary to set up a principle of identification of the individuals, other than by their real identity. A virtual, numerical "identity" was therefore created. This new identity is the institution of pseudonym. The principle of pseudonym is very simple, every user is connected to Internet, to services thanks to a pseudonym of his choice and a password. Other users, sites or else services see while the pseudonym of the user and can achieve not at all the "real" information of the user. Pseudonym is therefore, in the system of the Internet, spindle, connection between the real and the virtual, it puts the virtual in correlation with our world. N’importe quel individu peut alors consulter les informations contenues sur l’ensemble du réseau. Des informations, une communication entre des postes différents, des canaux de transmissions, différentes sources d’informations, des acteurs internes et externes au système… C’est un nouveau gigantesque système d’information qui s’est construit sous nos yeux ces dernières années. Mais un système d’information a obligatoirement des principes de fonctionnement. L’Internet est, depuis sa démocratisation, un système fondé sur l’anonymat ; et ce, parce que les pionniers de l’Internet cherchaient à faire de leur support un monde accessible par n’importe qui sans distinctions aucune. Mais au sein même du système, il fallait mettre en place un principe d’identification des individus, autre que par leur identité réelle. Une « identité » virtuelle, numérique a donc été créée. Cette nouvelle identité est l’instauration du pseudonyme. Le principe du pseudonyme est très simple, chaque utilisateur se connecte à Internet, à des services grâce à un pseudonyme de son choix et un mot de passe. Les autres utilisateurs, sites ou encore services ne voient alors que le pseudonyme de l’utilisateur et ne peuvent aucunement accéder aux informations « réelles » de l’utilisateur. Le pseudonyme est donc, dans le système de l’Internet, le pivot même, la connexion entre le réel et le virtuel, il met en corrélation le virtuel avec notre monde.
